USC Upstate Library: Strengthening the Heart of Learning
The USC Upstate Library is a central hub for learning, connection, and student success. With the recent $21 million expansion and 22,000 square foot addition, the library has been strengthened to better support today’s students through updated classrooms, expanded study areas, and key services in one accessible space, including the Student Success Center, Career Management, and the Center for International Education.
Your support helps ensure the library remains a welcoming, high impact environment where students can study, collaborate, access research support, and use the tools they need to succeed. From quiet spaces and group study rooms to digital learning resources and special collections, a gift to the USC Upstate Library strengthens one of the most important places on campus and helps students thrive now and in the future.
Giving In Memory of Kaylee Gilleland
A Place of Peace, A Legacy of Strength: Honoring Kaylee Gilleland
In memory of Kaylee Gilleland, a USC Upstate student who passed away during her freshman year in April 2017, we celebrate the space that meant so much to her, the USC Upstate Library. For Kaylee, the library was a place of comfort, connection, and calm as she visited the library almost daily during her adolescence years. Gifts made in her memory will support the USC Upstate Libraries Excellence Fund, strengthening the wellness collection and expanding resources centered on mental health, grief support, and resilience to aid students who may be struggling or overwhelmed with life issues in addition to academic expectations. Through these contributions, Kaylee’s spirit will continue to inspire and support students for years to come. “When you hit the ground hard, be able to bounce back even higher to prove your strength”, Kaylee Gilleland.
Please consider designating your gift “In Memory of Kaylee Gilleland.” Each donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000. Give Here
